Most visitors arrive at Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Yogyakarta. There are several domestic airlines such as Garuda, Lion Air, Mandala and Sriwijaya Air. International airlines: AirAsia, SQ, Qantas, MAS, Cathay Pacific, PAL, Thai International, JAL, KAL, Eva Air, Air India, etc.

Traveling to Indonesia from America costs around US$1000. Many flights stop in Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei or Singapore before arriving in Jakarta, Surabaya or Denpasar. Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Royal Brunei, Eva Air & many more are some of the airliners that have a direct route to the 3 (three) places stated.

Indonesia's Garuda provides links to Asian, Australian and European destinations.
The fares for flying within the Southeast Asia region has reduced significantly due the advent of low cost carriers. Among them are Air Asia and Jetstar Asia/Valuair
The new low cost carrier Viva Macau has a flight direct from Macau to Jakarta.

At the moment we can book & buy tickets online through internet. There are several Indonesian airlines that has already implemeted online booking such as:

While other airlines have not implemented an online booking system for the direct market, every Indonesian airline have implemented GDS (Global Distribution System) through Travel Agents.

Airport tax (or service charge) is standardized nationwide at Rp 30,000 for domestic flights & Rp 100,000 for international flights as of October 2005 paid in cash at check-in.
